Graduate Student Born and raised in Puerto Rico. Lived in Germany for several years and returned to U.S. Earned BS in Biology in North Carolina, then MPH in Hawaii. Worked in research laboratory at Cancer Research Center of Hawaii and University of Notre Dame. Also worked with OSHA. Decided to blend science training with history and explore the development of modern medicine and public health policy in Latin America.
