Doctoral Candidate Teaching Assistant My research is on the teaching and commemoration of civil rights history and Martin Luther King in K-12 public schools. My boarder aim with this project is to provide a lens to examine how civil rights history was incorporated into the United States's narrative of itself, how King became part of the civil pantheon, and what that means for American identity in the post-1968 era. I am originally from Brookline, MA, but has been living in Athens for the past four years and loving it. Outside of my work, I enjoy biking, baking, and doting on my small dog, Hamwich.
