Smith Griffith Auditorium at the Georgia Museum of Art One of the nation's preeminent historians, Foner is the author of the seminal Reconstruction: America’s Unfinished Revolution. His most recent book,The Fiery Trial: Abraham Lincoln and American Slavery (2010), received, among other awards, the Bancroft Prize, the Pulitzer Prize for History, and the Lincoln Prize. His lecture, "Gateway to Freedom: The Hidden History of the Underground Railroad," will take place in the M. Smith Griffith Auditorium at the Georgia Museum of Art.
