A lecture will be given by Earl Lewis, the president of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Lewis, a noted social historian, was the former provost and executive vice president for academic affairs and Asa Griggs Candler Professor of History and African American Studies at Emory University. He is the author and co-editor of seven books.
