Friday, November 9 2018, 3:30pm 101 LeConte Hall Dr. Tamar Carroll will give a talk on public history and activism: “From University Press to Public Exhibition: Finding Multiple Audiences for Historical Research". Carroll is Associate Professor and Acting Department Chair, Department of History, at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Dr. Carroll’s research bridges the fields of U.S. political and women’s and gender history, with a focus on the post-1945 period. Her book, Mobilizing New York: AIDS, Antipoverty, and Feminist Activism, examines the history and legacy of three path-breaking social movements in New York City from the 1950s through the 1990s.
