  • Miriam Frank: “Homophobia and anti-union legislation in the South.” Author of Out in the Union: A Labor History of Queer America.  
  • Anne Balay: “Queer and Trans Truckers in the age of NAFTA.”  Author of Steel Closets: Voices of Gay, Lesbian, and Transgender Steelworkers and a former long-haul trucker.
  • Joshua Hollands: “There’s a Bigot in Your Biscuit: Workplace Discrimination at Cracker Barrell, Civil Rights, and Corporate Activism.”  Winner of the 2017 Robert H. Zieger Prize for the best article by a graduate student in Southern Labor Studies.
  • Moderated by: Katherine Turk, author of Equality on Trial: Gender and Rights in the Modern American Workplace.
