Wednesday, March 24 2021, 12pm Via Zoom Dr. Erika Edwards, Associate Professor in history at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, will discuss her book Hiding in Plain Sight: Black Women, the Law, and the Making of a White Argentine Republic (Alabama UP, 2020). Graduate students in history who attend will receive a copy of the book in advance. A short presentation about the book will be followed by a Q and A session and general conversation. Dr. Edwards is an expert of the black experience in Argentina. She has been interviewed and consulted by The New York Times, National Geographic, and La Voz del Interior.
