Tuesday, September 20 2022, 12:45pm 101 LeConte Hall Dr. Ursula Prutsch will present a lecture, “The Ammunition King Fritz Mandl: How an Austrian Emigrant of Jewish Origin was Turned into an Argentine Nazi.” Dr. Prutsch is Professor of American Cultural Studies at The Amerika-Institut at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Munich, Germany). Dr. Prutsch studied history and Spanish at Karl-Franzens-University Graz, habilitation at the University of Vienna. Research areas: History of Brazil, Argentina and the USA, inter-American relations, emigration and exile from Austria to Latin America, populism, politics and gender.
