Indigenous Internment and Intimate Violence in Wartime Alaska, 1941-44” which explores the violation of Aleut women interred by the US Armed Forces during World War II. Drawing on Oral History, Tribal History, and Federal Archives, Guise weaves a story of sordid abuse and courageous resistance from a heretofore little known moment in American History.
