Professor Román teaches courses about Cuba, the Caribbean, the Atlantic world, African-inspired religions in the Americas, and the history of disasters. His courses emphasize the development of writing and research skills with a collaborative and scaffolded approach. Román's teaching has been recognized with several awards, including the Sandy Beaver Excellence in Teaching Award. Students of all majors are welcome. Free pizza. This is an FYO event.
