Congratulations John Inscoe - honorary member of UGA Phi Kappa Literary Society!

Congratulations to Dr. John Inscoe, who was inducted into the Phi Kappa Literary Society as an honorary member this month.

John Inscoe is the Albert B. Saye Professor of History and University Professor.  He is the author of numerous books and articles, and has served as the editor of the on-line New Georgia Encyclopedia since 1999.  He edited the Georgia Historical Quarterly for fifteen years and and served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Southern Historical Association from 2000 through 2014.

The Phi Kappa Literary Society is a debate organization founded in 1820 at University of Georgia. They meet once per week during the academic year to practice oratory, debate, and creative writing.
