Curatorial Practice Credit Hours: 3 This course explores curatorial issues and practices in contemporary museums. Students will learn about the theory and methods adopted by curators in their stewardship, exhibition, and interpretation of museum collections. Graduate students will complete more rigorous and extensive assignments relating to professional curatorial practice, such materials may include exhibition wall text, museum labels, a scope of collections statement, and other relevant documents. Museum Studies M.A. students will complete work that will contribute to the development of the museum studies portfolio submitted in Museum Studies Portfolio. Level: Graduate
