Servando Rojas studies changing immigration policies regarding the US-Mexico border in the late twentieth century, with an emphasis on agricultural laborers of Mexican origin. Rojas earned his bachelor's degree in history from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2025. His undergraduate thesis examined the memories and public reception of bracero guest workers processed at the Rio Vista reception center in Socorro, Texas over the duration of the center's operation from 1950-1964.
